Ok, I like what I've seen here.
How do I join the Order?
 
There are two steps:
1st: Review the first two tenets:
1. "The object of the search for religious truth, which is a universal and a neverending search, may be found through the Earth Mother, which is Nature; but this is one way, yea, one way among many. "
2. "And great is the importance, which is of a spiritual importance, of Nature, which is the Earth Mother; for is is one of the objects of Creation, and with it we do live, yea, even as we do struggle through life are we come face to face with it."
Do they resonate with you? Are you in agreement with them? Congratulations - you have just joined the Reformed Druids of Gaia (our parent group)!
 

2nd: Take our Pledge -- Be sure to REALLY read it before you sign it. Do not sign it if you can not accept every line therein. Agreeing with and signing this form, and paying a one time initiation fee, makes you a member of the Order of the Mithril Star of our First Degree.

What do I get for joining?
 
Once we receive your appliation and your one time initiation fee, you will receive:
  1. A membership certificate with your name, the date you joined us according to the Druish calendar, and a place for your signature. The certificate is suitable for framing.
  2. A membership card.
  3. A free copy of The Druid Path self-study cd-rom
  4. A free copy of Favorite Songs of the Reformed Druids (a wonderful Celtic cd)..

  5. At this time, a portion of all donations will go toward Haitian Earthquke Relief

Fair enough. What if I decide the Order is
"not my cup of tea?"
 

Should you decide to quit OMS, you must mail a written letter of resignation addressed to the Clerk of the Mother Grove, stating your intent to resign from the Order and your reasons. Simply unsubbing from the mithrilstar list. Rather, we classify such members as "in-active, and they are counted as members until we hear from them otherwise.

(Note: Resignation from OMS does not affect your RDG membership at all. Also, you get to keep all the free stuff.)

 

I'm an RDNA member and in fact,
I'm of the Third Order.
 
You are invited to join us as well, in fact, our ArchDruid sends you her personal invitation to join the Order of the Mithril Star. If you are both a 3rd Order and an Arch-Druid (meaning you lead an active grove or proto-grove) then you may join us by paying a one time initiation fee. You'll also get the membership kit, plus the right to copy everything therein for your grove members (Note: RDG membership is not automatic to RDNA members - you have to ask, but we do credit the Orders you have attained as RDG Degrees. You don't have to repeat ordinations, vigils etc.).
